GM and GM not on the Same Page?

It has been quiet on the GM front for a while now, but lest you think that the auto-maker has somehow found a clue, there is this: GM is suing employees for granting family discounts to non-family members. The irony is that GM’s latest promotion, “You pay what we pay” is supposed to offer EVERYONE such a discount.

The author at Blogging Stocks guesses that this may result from GM being hard up for cash, as well as the corporation’s general bumbling. I think he’s being generous. I’m guessing that the “promotion” isn’t quite as advertised, and that there is probably a little extra for GM built into “what we pay.”

One thing he did get right:

“But in the world of farce and inadvertent parody, GM is the gift that keeps on giving.”
